Best Buckeye Bars No-Bake (Printer-Friendly)

Smooth peanut butter base topped with rich chocolate for an easy no-bake sweet treat.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Peanut Butter Layer

01 - 2 cups creamy peanut butter
02 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - ½ teaspoon salt
04 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
05 - 3½ cups powdered sugar

→ Chocolate Layer

06 - 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped or chips
07 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Line an 8 x 8-inch square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - Combine creamy peanut butter and softened butter in a large bowl using an electric hand mixer until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing. Incorporate vanilla extract and salt, mixing until fully combined; the mixture will be slightly crumbly.
03 - Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface gently.
04 - Place semisweet chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth and fully melted.
05 - Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread evenly with an offset spatula to completely cover the surface.
06 - Refrigerate the bars for 10 to 20 minutes or until the chocolate topping is firm to the touch.
07 - Use a sharp knife dipped in warm water and wiped dry to slice the set bars into 16 portions. Serve and enjoy.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - For clean slicing, warm a sharp knife in hot water, dry it, and wipe between cuts to prevent cracking the chocolate layer.
02 - Bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several weeks or frozen for extended storage.
