Chili Lime Chicken Bites (Printer-Friendly)

Tender chicken bites seasoned with chili powder and fresh lime zest for a vibrant, easy meal.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Seasoning

01 - 2 teaspoons chili powder
02 - ½ teaspoon salt
03 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
05 - ½ teaspoon ground cumin
06 - ¼ teaspoon sugar
07 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
08 - Zest of 1 lime (approximately 2 to 2 ½ teaspoons)

→ Main

09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine chili powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, sugar, cayenne pepper, and lime zest in a small bowl. Stir until well mixed.
02 - Place chicken pieces in a gallon-size resealable plastic bag or a mixing bowl. Add the prepared seasoning mixture and seal or cover. Shake or stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
03 - Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces in a single layer without overcrowding the pan, working in batches if necessary. Cook, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes to allow browning, for 5 to 8 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
04 - Remove from heat and serve immediately, optionally accompanied by rice, roasted vegetables, or wrapped in a tortilla.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - For milder heat, omit cayenne pepper; adjust chili powder quantity to taste.
02 - Kitchen shears expedite cutting chicken into uniform bite-sized pieces.
03 - These chicken bites pair well with a fresh lime wedge for added brightness.
