01 -
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper, allowing an overhang for easy removal.
02 -
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fully blended.
03 -
In a medium bowl, mash bananas thoroughly. Whisk in eggs, then melted butter and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
04 -
Add banana mixture to the dry ingredients. Gently fold using a spatula until just combined; do not overmix. Batter will be thick and slightly lumpy.
05 -
Stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips until evenly dispersed throughout the batter.
06 -
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips evenly over the surface.
07 -
Place in oven and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until loaf is golden and a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean or with a few moist crumbs.
08 -
Allow bread to cool in the pan for 30 minutes. Lift out using parchment overhang and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
