01 -
In a shallow wide dish, combine all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
02 -
Coat each cube steak piece evenly in the seasoned flour mixture and set aside.
03 -
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the cube steaks 2 pieces at a time until lightly colored on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. Add more oil if needed.
04 -
Place chopped celery, diced onion, and chopped carrots into a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Layer the browned cube steaks on top of the vegetables.
05 -
In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, stewed tomatoes with juice, packed light brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and brown gravy mix until combined.
06 -
Pour the prepared sauce over the meat and vegetables. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours until the meat and vegetables are tender.
07 -
Once cooked, serve the meat and vegetables hot, ideally with mashed potatoes, rice, or your preferred side.
