Peel the carrots, trim the ends, and slice into ½ inch thick rounds using a diagonal cut if desired.

Place the sliced carrots in the slow cooker. Pour the melted butter over them, then sprinkle with brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir gently until all carrots are evenly coated.

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on high for 90 to 120 minutes or on low for 150 to 180 minutes until carrots are tender and cooked to preference.

Optionally sprinkle chopped parsley over the cooked carrots before serving.
