Tender beef simmered slowly in a rich savory sauce, delivering deep flavors with minimal effort for a hearty meal.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Beef

01 - 2 pounds beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes

→ Sauce

02 - 1 cup beef broth
03 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
04 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
06 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
07 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1 teaspoon salt
10 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional Vegetables

11 - 1 cup baby potatoes
12 - 1 cup carrots, sliced
13 - 1 cup mushrooms, halved

→ Thickening Agent (Optional)

14 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Pat beef cubes dry with paper towels to remove moisture, then season evenly with salt and pepper on all sides.
02 - Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear beef cubes in batches until browned on all sides, about 3 minutes per batch. Transfer to slow cooker.
03 - In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, minced garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
04 - Place beef cubes evenly in the slow cooker. Pour sauce mixture over beef. Add optional vegetables if using, arranging around the meat.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
06 - In the last 30 minutes, taste and adjust seasoning. If desired, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook for another 15 minutes to thicken.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - For optimal tenderness, slow cook on low heat and ensure meat is cut uniformly for even cooking.
