Juicy Air Fryer Steak (Printer-Friendly)

Thick ribeye steaks cooked in an air fryer for juicy, tender results with simple seasoning and herb butter.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Steak

01 - 2 ribeye steaks, approximately 1 inch thick each

→ Seasoning

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
04 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder

→ Additional

06 - 2 tablespoons water
07 - Garlic herb compound butter, optional

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set air fryer to 400°F and preheat for 5 minutes.
02 - Pat steaks dry on both sides with paper towels. Rub evenly with olive oil and season all over with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
03 - Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil nonstick spray. Pour 2 tablespoons of water into the bottom of the basket to prevent smoke and aid in moisture retention.
04 - Place one steak in the basket, ensuring space for air circulation. Cook for 5 minutes at 400°F. Flip the steak and continue cooking for 6 to 8 minutes more, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F for medium doneness. Repeat with the second steak.
05 - Remove steaks from the air fryer and tent loosely with foil. Allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes to redistribute juices. Serve topped with garlic herb compound butter if desired.

# Helpful Hints:

01 - To prevent overcooking, remove steaks slightly before desired temperature as they will continue to cook while resting.
02 - Adding water to the air fryer basket reduces smoke caused by rendered fat and helps keep steaks moist.
03 - Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and desired doneness using a reliable meat thermometer.
